Meet the Artist

Tito Metge is a New Zealand artist who has been painting and learning painting since the tender age of five. She trained at the Parsons School of Design in New York, and has painted and exhibited around the globe. Her work has been commissioned by the Lalit Kala Akademi in India, and collected worldwide. She has exhibited her original art around the world. She draws her inspiration from nature, as is seen in her canvasses, as well as her designs for Flying Fig. Her work is typically colorful, and uplifting. 

 

She has designed textiles as well as home goods, and co-founded Flying Fig in 1999. In addition to product design, she also undertakes interior design with an unusual, artistic  point of view.
